This time we take the fight to them. .... NY Times "Ready to Attack Obama"
Edited on Sat Jun-21-08 06:56 PM by Botany
Mr. Brown with a history of the Willie Horton and Swift Boat attack crap is ready to go after
Barack Obama. This bag of rancid monkey pus wants to use the net to spread lies and crap
about Obama ..... his site is http://exposeobama.com/ .....

My idea since there are a hell lot more of us then "them" can we crash his server and or
generally be a 24/7 pain in the ass to this punk? A man who took delight in painting John Kerry,
a man w/ three purple hearts, a bronze star, and a silver star as a coward in Vietnam.

My computer knowledge is limited so any advice would be helpful ....
BTW feel free to copy my post and pass it around the "internets."

Let us take the fight to them. It is time for us to pee in their cheerios. :grr:

Ready to Attack Obama, if Some Money Arrives

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — A Bible verse taped to a whiteboard in Floyd Brown’s office that he uses to track his efforts to attack Senator Barack Obama reads, “That is why for Christ’s sake I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.”

Mr. Brown, 47, a 6-foot-6 bear of a man is perhaps best known for his involvement with the Willie Horton television advertisement that helped sink Michael S. Dukakis’s candidacy in 1988. Mr. Brown has had much in his career to be delighted about as the source of scores of conservative assaults on Democrats that have earned him their lasting enmity.

Mr. Brown is back to his trade of bludgeoning a Democratic candidate for president, producing an innuendo-laden advertisement that is being televised this week in Michigan, albeit sparsely on cable, questioning Mr. Obama’s religious background.

The Obama campaign singled out Mr. Brown on Thursday as emblematic of the threat that independent groups on the right posed to him. On Friday, Mr. Obama, at a news conference in Jacksonville, Fla., again named Mr. Brown while defending his campaign’s rejection of public financing for the general election.

1. Well he is registered via ICANN
at their office out of New York, so if you want to try to "crash ICANN's servers" better hire a large company.

8. So is he "renting time" with a company that has a server?
O.K. I am dumb ... so is his domain name an address on the server?

11. ICANN is not his server
Browns hosting server is The Planet, out of Dallas. A large company but most certainly not ICANN. ICANN isn't in the hosting business. They are the group that handles the standards for domain naming and assigns approval to domain registrars.

Just the same, "taking down" Brown's web host is a silly effort. It would be much better to simply build sites and blogs that compete for his keyword traffic. Beat him on Google. Beat him in comments. Beat him in getting the attention of the masses.

19. No, I don't think they do
Perhaps you're confusing ICANN with Network Solutions

2. Is there a program...
...that will automatically hit "refresh" in your internet browser?

That would drive up his internet traffic, right? If you had one browser window or tab just constantly refreshing?

Blogger launches 'Google bomb' at McCain
Effort aims to boost Google rankings of negative news stories about Sen. John McCain
By Heather Havenstein

June 19, 2008 (Computerworld) A political blogger is using a technique known as "Google bombing" to enlist the aid of fellow partisan bloggers to boost the search engine rankings of nine news stories that reflect poorly on Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

Chris Bowers, managing editor of the progressive blog OpenLeft, is launching the Google bombs by encouraging bloggers to embed Web links to the nine news stories about McCain in their blogs, which helps raise their ranking in Google search results. Bowers is reprising a similar Google bombing effort he undertook in 2006 against 52 different congressional candidates.

The articles Bowers is using range from a story about McCain voting to filibuster a minimum wage hike to an item about the Senate passing an expanded GI bill despite opposition from McCain. Between June 6 and Tuesday, the first story had risen eight slots in Google's rankings to the 42nd result returned on searches for "John McCain." The second story is up 16 slots during the same 11-day period to the 35th result in a search for "John McCain."

The McCain campaign didn't respond to a request for comment on Bowers' project.

Bowers is aiming by Labor Day to have three of the nine articles appear in the top 10 search results for "John McCain" and "McCain," three in results 11 through 20 and three more in 21 through 30. When he began his quest three weeks ago, none of the articles were in the top 100 search results for either keyword search, he noted. Now, all nine are in the top 60 for "John McCain" searches and eight are in the top 60 for searches of "McCain."

Bowers said that he is operating independently and is not affiliated with the campaign of Democratic candidate Barack Obama.

10. Trying to bombard his server really isn't a good idea
if you are going to link to it from another website unless you want to start some kind of board war.
