1. I thought Joe Biden did a great job--as usual
And I liked Brian Williams. He said at the beginning of the show that Timmy had already prepared the show and they just followed Timmy's format.

Biden pretty much said he would not be VP.

4. so far yes...
graham trues to say obama has sold out to unions because he would re-negotiate NAFTA, biden slaps him back by saying its about caring for the american people if the treaty is not good for americans and the middle class...and that every treaty has a provision that says the american president can do this.

BAM!

I guess Williams wanted to show he was "unbiased"?? :-(

32. OMG
John Harwood just said that in the 2000 elections a third party candidate made a difference.

Yeah you ass. They make a difference when they can be used to f*ck over the Democrat.

tear Lindsay Graham to bits.

12. There could be a lot of very conservative business people listening to
a program like this and thinking to themselves, "God, the GOP is going down the tubes."

If they were hiring for competence, energy, and demonstrable command of ideas and issues, they'd hire Biden in a flash and skip little Lindsay.

tastes, but he's damned good copy and he puts the Pukes on the defensive on virtually any issue.

23. 'TOO BLUNT'
means what? Willing to say the truth? Able to know the truth?

His talk is always polite; it is quick. Is that what gets people? They don't have time to digest all of what Joe says?

Is it the old 'no one ever likes the smartest kid in the class?'

What do folks here think?

18. Yep. It's a good thing the interview didn't go on any longer, or Biden
would probably have gotten to that, too.

Graham is a loyal McCain hack since 2000, so I'm not surprised he's behaving the way he is, but he's just no match for Joe Biden generally and in foreign affairs especially.

 :hi:

And gave some great reasons.

Of course he says he told Obama that he doesn't want the job... But we all know what that is about... ;)

33. It's all about talking points w/the GOPers
get the 'repeat repeat' lines out - doesn't matter what the truth is. Biden just slapped him w/his responses. We need to remember what Biden said for when any RNC liars try those talking points out in public we can made them look as bad as Biden made Graham look. (I know, won't be too hard).

21. I thought Williams was dishonest in setting up the first question about campaign financing
Edited on Sun Jun-22-08 09:56 AM by high density
Obama's camp supposedly did attempt to come to an agreement with McCain's camp about financing. McCain's camp then says, "No they didn't!" Who am I supposed to believe, and why does Williams automatically assume McCain is the side to believe?

27. It's the stance all the MSM has taken
Just like they've been saying that since Obama ONLY raised $22 million he's becoming lack-luster in his fundraising abilities - ignoring that he STILL outraised McCain (McCain raisng $21 million - the largest amount he's ever raised)

34. Graham's talking points...
Ok for Republicans to change their position (Graham on offshore drilling due to $4/gal gas), NOT ok for Democrats to change their positions (insert anything they make up here) because they only do it because they (Obama) will say anything to get elected.

37. Biden should've joked that $4/gal gas changes the reason for public financing
All politicians "flip flop" and I think nobody cares about public financing except the Republicans and talking heads making an issue out of it.

35. Lindsey is getting spanked on his offshore drilling statements...
...as well as being a blowhard on the campaign finance reform issues.

I'd bet his constituents aren't too happy with him flip-flopping on his position on offshore drilling in North Carolina. Do you think Repugs with beachfront property in Nags Head want a big oil drill to watch while they sip their Sazeracs?

Good Loord, no!

39. Graham was disgusting, all he could do is call Obama names, would not discuss any issue
which is exactly what Obama is saying is wrong with politics. Biden stuck to the issues instead of name calling.

What surprised me was how angry Graham got, not at anything Biden said but he worked himself into a tizzy over what a politician Obama is. I thought he was going to take his shoe off and start pounding it.

They can't talk about the issues so they talk about how all Obama wants is to win.

Creepy.
