Barack Obama inspires Milan men's runway styles

MILAN, Italy - The latest "first" for Barack Obama comes off the Milan runway.

Calling the U.S. presidential hopeful "the man of the moment," Donatella Versace dedicated her Spring-Summer 2009 collection presented Saturday evening to Obama, creating a style she said was designed for "a relaxed man who doesn't need to flex muscles to show he has power."

This is amazing! Obamamania sweeping the world. I feel like crying right now because this is just immense.

I expected something like this for Michelle (and still do) but this was unexpected. WOW!

Saw it about 50 times watching gymnastics yesterday.

Things are already changing. It's small things, like the small things that let you know Spring is here and Summer is around the corner.

So many people have put their lives on hold for 8 years and put up with a first lady wearing drapes right out of Gone With The Wind, this is so refreshing.

You know, for the first time in 8 years, I feel like a woman again, buying shoes and dresses instead of walking around in a doom and gloom sackcloth because the world is so depressing. I know Obama won't change things that drastically or, especially, overnight but

SPRING IS HERE

, time to get the rakes and shovels and start planting again.

I sincerely hope more than Obama people will personally benefit from these small changes.

MILAN, 22 (ANSA) - La diseñadora Donatella Versace afirmó que el ícono de la elegancia del verano (boreal) 2009 es el candidato presidencial estadounidense Barack Obama.
Versace que había destacado la elegancia de la ex primera dama Hillary Clinton, contendiente de Obama en las primarias demócratas, dijo ahora que la señora representa el pasado mientras que Obama "está más adelantado".
"Lo vestiría verdaderamente con mucho gusto, él ya es elegante, pero le cambiaría algunas cosas, tal vez la camisa y la corbata", dijo la estilista.
