The Associated Press

Jun 22, 2008 13:39 EST

Former Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., an Obama adviser, on "Fox News Sunday":

"I'm not seeking the vice presidency. I've not talked to Barack about it. I don't expect to be asked. And I have no interest."

Does that mean Daschle will say 'no' if asked?

"Well, obviously, you'd think about it. But as I say, I don't expect it, and I don't — I'm not looking for it."

1. I think he should be Obama's Chief of Staff, or legislative liason
He'd be great at either role. I could totally see him being Obama's Josh Lyman.

2. Good because he's be a horrible, horrible choice! He and Gephardt caved to the Repugs
so many times. He's a milquetoast Dem and we don't need him. He's not forceful enough when he speaks. Too nice and gentle. I prefer the way in which Joe Biden confidently goes after The Repugs. He ripped Graham a new one today on MTP. :)

3. Like anyone would ask him?
The most spineless Democratic leader ever.

4. Hmmm, yeah. I like Tom... but, he did some of that caving back in the day
I want to reduce the number of spineless Democrats in government, not increase the number.
