An observant reader in Washington, DC writes in earlier this afternoon:

About 2 hours ago, I saw Wesley Clark leaving the office building next to mine, on the corner of 15th and M NW. Then, 15 minutes ago while getting coffee at the Caribou across the street – I literally ran into Caroline Kennedy. She and Eric Holder were there together. Could they have been interviewing Clark for the VP slot?

1. Clark being vetted? I don't think that is a surprise
The VP will either be him or Tim Kaine.

3. I saw him sitting next to Obama on a dais the other day and he was
smiling like he had just heard a joke. they looked awfully good together, those two. he is a lovely man, that one.

4. that's nice but Clark will not be the VP
and shouldn't. Clark showed his lack of loyalty to Obama and shouldn't be rewarded when there are others that could give Obama the FP experience who were more loyal to him.
