Its a good thing the Presidency is a 5 day week job
In more ways than one McCain is emulating Bush. No one ever accused Bush of not getting his down time and McCain has learned this message well by not working past Friday. Its a good thing that the Presidency doesn't require lots of extra hour activity and a full schedule on the weekend because it seems as if McCain isn't up to it.

John McCain doesn't work weekends

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/11355.html

Since effectively capturing the Republican nomination when Mitt Romney dropped out of the race on Feb. 7, John McCain has held just one public campaign event on a weekend.

Instead, after workweeks full of fundraisers, town hall meetings and interviews, McCain has been, in campaign parlance, “down” on nearly every Saturday or Sunday for 20 weeks, largely sequestered away from the news media.

He’s usually spending time with family, friends and campaign advisers at residences in Arlington, Va., and Phoenix or vacation homes near Sedona, Ariz., and San Diego.

2. Dude's clearly too old for this. He can't even run a full schedule without napping on the weekends.

5. We've spent the last 7+ years with a part time pResident
and that hasn't turned out so well.

I'm a tad bit of a slacker myself, but after this disaster I'd like to see a full-time plus President in office.

11. I just picture the joint chief of staff and the national security adviser having a
Larry David type discussion on how late it is OK to call the President - somewhere 11 PM will be the latest without an actual war breaking out.

13. It's nice that mccain can sit back on the weekends
and let the mainstream media do the heavy lifting for him but if he's not up for the job of being president..he should let his supporters know NOW.

14. That's more time than the present President puts in.
Maybe we should be grateful. Imagine the destruction Bush could of done if he were a workaholic.

19. I'm sick to death of "part time presidents"
this country has gone into the toilet and we need someone who will work 24/7 to get things back on track.
