Obama Is Pwning The Media
I've been relatively busy as of late, working 12 and 14 hour days. I've barely posted here, except the occasional response or interesting polling numbers.

But I've been listening to the radio (POTUS'08 on XM, various AM talk radio) and watching both CNN and MSNBC, and even nightly news on CBS and ABC. No, I don't watch Fox (unless I'm doing Oppo research, which, I haven't been).

One thing that strikes me is how much air time is given talking about Obama. It seems to me, via informal sampling, that Obama is getting 4-to-1 coverage over McCain. It's not all good, but even the negative or non-positive coverage of Obama barely even covers what McCain thinks about it. And Obama is still getting positive media coverage too.

I'm literally shocked. I do not recall an election when the Democrat got all the press attention. McCain must literally be extremely boring to cover if my perceptions are accurate.

Even on POTUS which I believe has a RW tilt, has been covering some pretty interesting stuff on Obama, like this morning's council of industry experts. That was an interesting listen. And it was good. I even learned that Obama went to High School with the President of AOL.

I think Obama's team is doing a great job owning the media and totally eclipsing anything about McCain. And for once, just once, Gallup is being ignored and polls that seem to show what we are all seeing and believing are being covered.

Even Republicans that I know are accepting the fact that Obama is going to be President. Many can't see themselves voting for McCain. A couple are hopeful for Ron Paul's insurrection. Another will vote for Barr. None of them are confident about McCain.

I almost don't know how to act or what to say. But, for once, in a very long time, it feels really good and exciting to be a Democrat.

1. Issue
Issue is it's 80% negative towards obama and 80% positive towards McCain. Making it so they both get .8 hours of positive news every 5 hours.. then they pummel obama for most of the rest of it.

4. Neither am I...
Personally, with all the rubbish I've seen come from Obama lately, it's back to the old "lesser of two evils" vote for me again this election.

Money he wants to give to the automakers being the most recent straw going into the camel's back.

3. I don't think the voting public is listening to the MSM any longer.
America likes Obama no matter how much he's trashed.

5. Did anyone see McCain sipping the latte today giving his respone to the SCOTUS decisions?

He looked terrible. He is doing a TERRIBLE job at marketing his message. Obama has the brightest marketing team I've seen in politics.

6. Yes. You are right.
He did look terrible, and his attempt to criticize Obama for not supporting his amicus brief fell flat. He didn't look as if he believed what he was saying. I am not sure that he knows why he wants to be President. I don't sense any passion there.

7. Obama is gold
The media knows it. They sell more newspapers, more ads and get more viewers just by mentioning his name.

10. For better, or for worse, Obama is a media obsession. They love to
talk about him, take photos of him, and parse every syllable because it's good for ratings. He is simply a phenomenon that comes along maybe once or twice in a lifetime. I mean, love him or hate him, everybody's got something to say about him. People like him, and that's why Clinton supporters seem to have made the transition quite easily. There are still some holdouts, but they'll come along in time.

11. They are helping McCain keep a low profile.
The more McCain is seen and evaluated on his own merits, the better for our candidate. McCain is uninspiring at best and embarrassing at worst. Americans are sick and tired of being embarrassed every time the POTUS opens his mouth.

12. This election will be a referendum on Obama
and everybody knows it. Even the RNC has Obama on its front page.
