Here's the breaking news e-mail that CNN sent out when Kerry announced Edwards as his running mate. (I still have it saved in my email file.. )

1. I'd rather postpone the inevitable disappoint of his VP choice
He's probably going to pick a white guy DLC'er, to "balance" the ticket.

I'm on Governor Bill Richardson's e-mail list, and he just sent out a full page e-mail yesterday.

Near the bottom of it, he says-

"I still have a lot of work to do here in New Mexico before I leave office in 2010 due to term limits including fighting to extend health care to every New Mexican. And I remain actively involved with national politics because we need to change America and every one of us has to contribute something

But who knows? Maybe I'll even decide to run for Governor again in 2014--if something else doesn't pop up in the meantime!"


That last line.... "If something doesn't pop up in the meantime"?

Sounds to me like he'd love to be asked..
