Part of the unifying of GDP was that the primary wars were to be left behind.
Yet I log in today and see the same old criticisms of the Clintons that were posted during the primary wars.

I support Obama, and I've refrained from criticizing him on issues that I believed he merited criticism, since the new rules kicked in. But some Obama supporters/Clinton haters seem to think that the unity rule only applies to former Clinton supporters, and that Clinton haters can continue with their same ugly insults of the Clintons.

If you're so desperate to criticize the Clintons that you'll go to Drudge Report and use articles found there, from rightwing tabloids, citing unnamed sources, then you've lost perspective and are oblivious to what unity means.

And if you think that unity means that only former Clinton supporters are supposed to fall in line, then you're wrong there, too.

As you continue to criticize the Clintons, keep in mind that chances are good that Hillary will be Obama's VP. So you're not only hurting her, you're sabotaging his chances of being elected.

3. And so do I. I'd say there's an equal chance that I'll be Obama's VP.

17. I think the same few people are determined to keep up the
Primary wars, on both sides of the "debate". Criticizing a candidate (former or current) should not be unwelcome, but smearing is an entirely different thing. Anyone doing it should stop! Unity, it's not just a town in New Hampshire!

25. Right!
The only discord he's seen is from Hillary supporters when we stand up in defense of her against the vicious attacks still going on. How disgruntled of us to not - as you say - "fall in line" with Hillary hate as well as Obama support!

To be fair, I think the vast majority of us are united, Obama supporters as well as Hillary supporters agreeing on many things. The haters, however, who cannot let the primary battles go, make this a very toxic place sometimes.

6. Hillary as VP is what would sabotage his chances of being elected.
Any other senator for VP would as well, but Hillary's long list of negatives surpasses all the rest.

Now I haven't seen your name over there, Snake. So I'll assume you're smarter than that. But as far as I'm concerned, every last fucking one of those traitors should be tombstoned NOW, because they are actively attempting to sabotage this election, and contribute to the completion of the fascist takeover of this country.

22. Purity police?
More like hypocrisy police. Those Hillbots are not Democrats, and they are actively trying to throw this election to John McCain. Why should they be allowed to peddle that shit here?

Would you let Fred Phelps post at DU, as long as he didn't come out and say "GOD HATES FAGS!!!111!!" in his posts?

Would you let the Skinheads from Stormfront.org post here as long as they never directly advocated burning crosses or dragging anybody behind a truck, at this site?

11. I have seen more posts criticizing Obama in the past week than I have seen posts criticizing Hillary
Some of the criticism against both candidates is fair and some of it isn't, but the mods will determine what is appropriate and what is not. Hillary is still in the news quite a bit, and as long as she is in the news there are going to be people on this site talking about her. The end of the primary wars do not mean that any form of criticism is off limits, the mods are just a bit more strict in determining what types of criticism are appropriate for this site.

12. I appreciate anyone taking the high road. I have no problem
with anyone who will vote for Obama in spite of their deep misgivings. I have a real problem with those who try to undermine "the" candidate and who have ulterior motives. I don't know who they supported at the beginning and I don't care as long as we don't have a president mccain.

It is hard to come here and read how angry people are at Obama without wondering what is really going on.

Thanks for the alternate viewpoint, I find it helpful. (I predict that Hillary has an excellent chance of being the VP btw)

13. I think its safe to say that
most Obama supporters here are against a Clinton Vice Presidency.

When Hillary supporters decide to post to the board that they are sure it will be Hillary as VP what do they expect?

Do you think we all of a sudden have had a change I heart?

We haven't and force feeding your desires on this site provokes argument.

Don't want to hear argument ? Then just let it play out.

14. Well the shit stirring does go on, from all sides.
Some just can't let it go.

I personally do not think that the vp slot is all that important and am fine with Senator Clinton being on the ticket. People need to focus on McCain and on the rethuglican onslaught.

15. I agree, Maddy.
The Clinton supporters who just couldn't stop were banned from the site quickly and in large numbers. There were large and loud parties celebrating each banning, and I think the message was very clear to those that remained. I thought for sure that would go both ways, but I don't think it has. The roving bands of Clinton hating thugs still roam the threads spewing garbage every chance they get. I try hard not to take the bait, but sometimes I just get furious.

31. For one thing, I think it would help if people would cool it on the Hillary for VP threads
It's fine to discuss it, but when the board is being inundated with threads that push the idea it causes me to question why. People posting things like "Hillary is the only person that could be Vice-President" continually gets old.
