Iowa checking in.. 127 days to the election
It started here.. and, our time is getting short.. we have only 127 days to the election.. and I need to get busy, talking to my neighbors and doing my part to get our people elected.. From Senator Obama all down the ticket.. this is day 127, of the countdown.. I also live in Steve King territory, and there is work there to get him unseated..

Coffee ready, and a few cinnamon rolls.. off to visit the neighbors and spread the good news as it were..that is how we do it here :patriot:

1. That's what I like to hear, with more progressives in seats we will eventually re-take the party.

2. Is Iowa now a lock for Barack? He's up by a healthy margin, I see.

:).. sure path to being passed by.. but we do like Obama here.. I guess it is that Midwestern thing.. we get the halting speech pattern.. the thinking about what you are about to say.. a little Lake Woebegoish I guess..

6. Well grantcart, as I posted in another thread
we need to keep our people pumped..the bluest part of our state is the part that has been flooded.. so they are bailing mud in Iowa City, and Cedar Rapids (our second largest city) is an incredible mess..1300 blocks of it flooded....

Also.. there are down ticket elections that are huge.. and I live in the reddest part of Iowa, and my rep is Steve King.. and so ..lots to do on a lot of levels.. :)
