McCain and his surrogates claim Wes Clark's comment part of a pattern...
Edited on Mon Jun-30-08 12:49 PM by jenmito
When McCain was asked how he felt about Wes Clark's comment, he said it's been a pattern by many other Obama surrogates and supporters who have said similar things. Then Frank Donnitelli, McCain supporter, was just shown Obama's speech where he praised McCain's service AND said it's wrong for ANYONE to question his patriotism-even from his own side-and was asked if that was good enough for him, and he said it's a START, but it's just part of a pattern of many of Obama's surrogates and supporters, including MoveOn.org. :wtf:

1. A pattern of questioning the qualifications of someone who is ill suited
to be president? Hell yes it is!

6. I agree it's right to question McCain's qualifications to be president because he was tortured
in Vietnam, but the media painted is as him questioning his PATRIOTISM. And he NEVER questioned his patriotism, as a matter of fact, they never play the first part of what Clark said, that he praises McCain's service.

17. It's classic case of false republican framing
it's their bread and butter tactic.

9. Clark did not question his patriotism

He said being shot down and a POW didn't qualify him to be president. Not the same thing at all.

18. Exactly, it's another case of deceptive republican framing
it's their favorite weapon in their arsenal of lies and deceptions.

A pattern of repubs that lie and cheat and steal and then whine when anyone challenges them.

I would love to have that part pointed out to me.

16. Me too! I haven't seen or heard where Obama's speech differed at all....
Obama clearly said he would NOT question McCain's service or patriotism, Clark did NOT question either. He, too, clearly stated he honored McCain's service, said NOTHING wrt McCain's patriotism. Where is the difference?

5. We know JSM III surrogates lie through their teeth
General Clark did not question Senator John Sidney McCain III's patriotism. All he said was being a POW doesn't necessarily equate to being qualified to be Commander in Chief.

14. Who is questioning patriotism? (Besides the Republicans)
Saying that being shot down does not give a person instant national security credentials is not an attack, it's a statement of the obvious.
