What is really bothering me about all the "Swift Boat Vets" developments from yesterday is the fact that the media in their analysis seem to missing two important facts:
1 - Kerry denounced attacks on Bush's national guard service
AND
2 - the fact that these smear artists like the ones who are maliciously attacking Kerry only seem to show up when Karl Rove is involved in an election.
McCain was the victim in 2000, former senator Max Cleland, a war hero who lost limbs in Vietnam fighting for our country was a victim and now Kerry is the latest victim of smear campaign.
2. And as twisted as it sounds, this is precisely the strategy that Bushco is
using, has used, and will continue to use. As long as the media whores fail in their responsibility to uncover the truth, misinformation of the masses will be the order of the day.
The media has always handled their smear campaigns this way. It has always worked for them. Until we decide to play the game the same way, we are in for bitter disappointment.
