ANOTHER McCain Flip Flop - McCain On The Budget Deficit!
Edited on Tue Jul-08-08 11:58 AM by Median Democrat
Remember during the primaries when John McCain abandoned his pledge to balance the budget, because GOP anti-tax activists were worried (rightfully so) that doing so would require McCain to repeal Bush's tax cuts? So, now that John McCain has the GOP nomination what does he do? He flip flops less than three months after stating this position, and reverses his position on a balanced budget. However, it is even worse, because he also does not acknowledge that to balance the budget he needs to repeal Bush's tax cuts.

So, the question now is who is McCain is lying to? The GOP anti-tax activists? The general public? All of the above?

http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-campaign8-2008jul08,0,2360555.story

"Three months after he discarded his pledge to balance the federal budget in four years, John McCain on Monday renewed his vow to do so, saying his tax cuts and spending cuts could kick America's ailing economy into robust shape."

1. He will say and do anything to win the White House...
He flips and flops more than a carp on a sandbar.

3. Of course, Big Media Is Generally Giving Him A Pass On This
For example, the stories linked fail to note why he originally backed away from any proposal to balance the budget, because he was trying to appeal to the anti-tax crowd. So, the story fails to note that John McCain is pandering once again, and reversing position several times in the course of an election, in order to appeal to the crowd he is speaking to. He did this on the GI Bill, as well, but Big Media absolutely refuses to call him on it.

However, Obama says "refine" his Iraq policies and confirms that he is committed to withdrawing from Iraq, and the MSM jumps on him as though this is a major flip flop.

This is the Murdoch controlled media, since Rupert has interests or ownership in:

1. Fox News;
2. Wall Street Jorunal;
3. The Associated Press;
4. Direct TV.
