Thank GAWD for BOB BARR!!!
He's appealing to the Ron Paul Republicans, and I will say this--I disagree with him on much, but he's principled and makes a lot of sense. He knows the issues well, and can argue his point with passion and clarity. John McCain cannot.

He's going to take away many Republicans from McCain in this election.

I'm watching him on Glenn Beck, and I have to say--this guy WILL build momentum!! He may not be like Ross Perot was in 1992, but he'll make an impact no doubt!!

Thank you, Bob Barr.

President Obama here we come!!

1. Barr isn't principled. He's a scumbag. He's just a scumbag who is helping us.
He was voting to ban abortions while his wife was having one.

He tried to impeach Clinton.

He changed almost all of his positions once he decided to run as a Libertarian.

He's helping us beat McCain, I'll give him that. Beyond that Barr isn't good for much.

4. He tried to impeach Clinton even *before* Lewinski...

Back then, he was sticking his face into the camera every day -- it's why he's known well enough to run at all.

So yeah, he's an opportunistic sleazebag. But right now, he's my favorite opportunistic sleazebag.

The OP was right about his policies, though. I always tell my Republican friends -- yes, I have them -- that Barr, unlike McCain, is a *real* Republican. He's not someone who backstabs the party any time it suits his purposes, nor someone who only goes through the motions of supporting Republican ideals. Of all the ideas I promote to them, this is the one that never gets challenged.

The little polling I've seen shows Barr getting 4-5% of the vote in a lot of places. That's better than Nader did in 2000, and Barr seems to be getting much less airtime so far.

Go Bobby!

9. Exactly!! He was one of the leaders of the House Impeachment Subcommittee...
He's also a hypocrite. Family Values, my ass. Married 3 times. Reportedly forced his 2nd wife to have an abortion. Cheated on her with the 3rd wife. He's a scumbag, indeed!

6. Is he generating enough media interest to get invited to a three-way debate?
It would be interesting to see him on stage with Obama and McCain. He's very conservative but he has made good points about the erosion of our civil liberties under Bush.

10. If he will be on the PA ballot, he just might take some of the "T" votes from McCain.
