Do a shot every time Obama says that parents need to "turn off the TV set" and "put away the video games".

Don't get me wrong, I AGREE WITH HIM, it's just funny.

1. It isn't funny if you come from a household

where parents don't care enough,
or are too tired from struggling,
and that is how you end up growing up;
parked in front of a television.

It is rather sad for those children.

to suggest to turn the fact that someone is willing to say
what people need to hear on this
into a drinking game is even sadder.

2. A drinking game about parenting advice?
_That's_ what's funny. (I agree with him, too.)

3. I went to a wedding a few years back with my ex-gf

and she had these cousins, about 10 and 14, and they played gameboy (or whatever it was) through the Wedding ceremony, in the car, at the reception, barely pausing for some cake. I couldn't believe that not only were they such social pariahs by there own making (there were plenty of cousins their age to play with) and that their parents let them get away with this anti-social and extremely rude behavior! I even tried to talk to them but that was completely useless. I am glad my parents would not get a Nintendo growing up in the late 80's when not having a Nintendo was unheard of.
