How could anyone POSSIBLY support McCain???
I mean seriously, its almost laughable at this point. Everyday, he makes the last gaffe look tame compared to his latest gaffe.
About all anyone can say for him is how brave he was during time as a POW.
Ergo his only qualification is this fact.
By that logic, there are thousands of other vets/heroes who are qualified to be President as well, and one would think that they would get some respect from people like McCain, yet are shit on as if they are flies to be swatted away. It just disgusts me to no end.

That's about all I got to say now.

1. I can certainly see how people would support him
Plutocrats
Oil Industry Executives
Military Contractors (AKA Halliburton)
Theocrats
Racists
Bigots
Those with IQs close to their shoe size
Fox News viewers (but I repeat myself)

All of these people are going to be supporting McSame this year. As for everyone else, I can't figure that shit out.

2. My dad does.
He's a republican. Watches Fox for news. It's funny because he told me he took one of those internet tests that tell you where you fall on the political scale. He says he came out Democratic. I believe it, he's not really that conservative. I think it's just brand loyalty in a way. He worships St. Ron. My theory is that it's an unconscious smack at Grampa who was an FDR man.

He says that my bro and I are Democrats just to get back at him, so that's kind of in his thinking. Does this mean if he were Green I would drive a Hummer powered on distilled baby harp seals? }(

11. My dads almost exactly the same

But he's from Appalachian descent and will only vote for those who look and talk like him. So he voted for Clinton but won't vote for Obama. He's liberal on most social issues but watches Fox News and supports McCain because he "supports war against the terrorists and iran" and because he can relate to McCain through age and race. He believes war is the only answer. It's sad but there are a lot of older folks like this and they are Fox News' base. The median age of Fox News viewership in daytime and primetime is 65.

On a happier note though, my mom and brother won't be voting for McCain and they voted Bush in 2000 and 2004.

5. You know whats funny?

(funny strange, not funny haha)

I have yet to hear even one person (other than cyberspace) that says they will vote for, or even LIKE anything about McSame, but at the same time they say they don't think BHO has a shot.

What's wrong with people?

10. ewwww ... lol

What is truly discouraging is that some of these people are not racists themselves, but they feel that there are too many people who are to make him a viable candidate.

I tell them that if we, as a people, have not gotten beyond that point yet, then there is no hope for this country. I really don't think America can survive another 4 years of the shrubs policies. The economy, the environment, the shredding of our Constitution ... take your pick, any or all will destroy us.
