Kennedy gets standing ovation - Mc Cain is a no show
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 09:41 AM by unapatriciated
Kennedy's statement

"I return to the Senate today to keep a promise to our senior citizens and that’s to protect Medicare.
Win, lose or draw, I wanted to be here. I wasn’t going to take the chance that my vote could make the difference."

McCain supports sending the troops to war but when it comes to medical care his support is no where to be found. He didn't even have the guts to vote no on a bill he opposes

" John McCain (R-AZ) was the only senator to miss the vote. He issued a statement in opposition to the bill:
Congressional leaders have once again decided to put partisan positioning over the well being of millions of our seniors. We should not hold our doctors and seniors hostage to political gamesmanship and political votes. While this bill does meet our obligation to provide proper reimbursements to Medicare physicians, it also rolls back important reforms, increases drug premiums, and places 2.3 million seniors at risk of losing the private health care coverage of their choice."

7. He criticized Obama's vote on FISA but was absent for it himself.
McC used the flip-flop argument against Obama's vote, yet he didn't deem it important enough for him to show up.

4. McSame goes AWOL on Medicare?
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 09:44 AM by SpiralHawk
What's up with that?

Did McSame take marching orders from Commander AWOL himself?

Or is it an overall republicon stategery to keep avoiding accountability.

9. Love the way the press wouldn't cover much on the Kennedy fighting for
medicare story. They REALLY don't want the dems to look strong on health care. They might lose some sponsors.
