Obama table in Madison: July 12 Edition (thirteenth one in 2008)
The Obama table this week was an abbreviated version due to the Art On The Square festival. The spot, which usually is on the Square, was a much smaller more guerreila-style, rabid deploy version...

It lasted for about an hour before we were told to leave by festival officials, but we handed out a few dozen bumper stickers, got many people stickers for the day and registered seven people to vote.

The best moment (most amusing) was a rabid McCain fan who stopped by (I'm pretty sure he was drunk) to try to tangle with us and suddenly some Ron Paul fan came by and they both argued all kinds of nonsense to each other while we just watched them go into it for about 10 minutes.

We were told we had to go. But it was worth it.

GOBAMA!

1. Let's hope that the Paul/McCain feud continues
and that many people who would never vote for Obama will vote third party or write in Ron Paul's name.
Question--are there Ron Paul signs out in Madison? Here in NW Arkansas they are the only yard signs I've seen.

3. I've seen one or two Paul bumper stickers over the past months
Both times were at a Home Depot parking lot and both were uber pickup trucks...

2. I take my voter registration clipboard with me when I am on my lunchbreak...
I walk anyways at lunch so I walk and ask if anyone needs registering or change of address as I pass groups of people waiting for the bus.

4. Hah! If only a Bob Barr fan had come along to join the fray.
A three-way battle of the Stupid and the Loony.

6. It's bound to happen...
Still a few months to go... as the fall crowds start coming with the 527 ads we're all supposed to see, who knows what knuckledraggers will be out there...
