What the hell? I got the email about Obama's June fundraising
clicked the link to contribute some more money and got a message that "someone may be trying to intercept my communication with this website." There was also stuff about security certificates, when I went there there was this crap about "some organization" no names or anything. I couldn't cut any of the text to post it here. Is this Agent Mike fucking with me or what?

1. Who did the email come from?
If you want to donate to the Obama campaign, go directly to the website.

You can also donate through DU's Obama fundraising page. That link is pinned in a post at the top of this forum. Or, you can click the link in my sig.

3. David whatsisname. I went right to the website and donated.
I think it was probably Firefox that caused the problem.

2. Or, you could just check out your computer security program's email anti-phishing/firewall settings

...before getting all verklempt and invoking Agent Mike. Make sure the problem isn't on your end before going overly angsty on us, k?

Sometimes, even though you are paranoid that still doesn't meant they're out to get you...

(Also, you can try libnnc's link in my sig line to see if it happens there too, just as a cross-check.)

4. Paranoia strikes deep, into your life it will creep, starts when
you're always afraid, step out of line the man comes and takes you away. Don't ask me what I had for lunch today. You are probably right that it is a security setting thing. But that won't stop me from giving a big FU to Agent Mike.
