McCain plots itinerary in Obama's absence
Published: July 18, 2008 at 9:13 AM

WASHINGTON, July 18 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain, likely Republican presidential nominee, says he'll visit battleground states as his Democratic counterpart visits battle zones abroad.

McCain, R-Ariz., scheduled visits to Colorado, New Hampshire, Ohio and Pennsylvania to push his policies on jobs, energy and healthcare while Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., travels to the Middle East and Europe next week, USA Today reported Friday.

McCain adviser Charles Black said McCain is prepared to critique Obama's five-nation trip, which the presumptive Democratic presidential candidate has described as an opportunity to "assess the situation in countries … critical to American security."

McCain and other Republicans have criticized Obama's foreign policy expertise, noting he hasn't visited Iraq in more than 2 1/2 years.

"If they want us to respond to what he's doing over there, I'm sure we could make the time," Black said adding that the McCain campaign will seek equal time if television networks run interviews with Obama.

1. Well, I've never been to Iraq but I can tell you this
it was a bad idea based on lies unplanned under-manned and over-funded

and since then it has gotten worse.

2. Charles Black couldn't find his ass with both hands.
Equal time doesn't apply to news stories in which a candidate appears. They tried to make this an issue, Obama has called their bluff, and is taking all of the major news anchors with him. Eat it Charlie. This is neeeeeews.

Actually this may be good for McCain. There won't be as much coverage of his stupifying town hall meetings.

3. Why I'm not that worried to McCain having the country to himself
He had the title of Presumptive Nominee to himself since February and he did absolutely nothing with it.

6. Equal time? Fuck you, Charlie.
Your hero Red Ink Reagan killed equal time. Don't you remember?

All you Republican douchebags thought it was a great idea at the time. Now that we've got a candidate that is gonna break his foot off in your ass, all of a sudden equal time doesn't seem like such a horrible idea, right?

Assholes.
