8. aw one picture tells nothing
Chuck could have smiled just two seconds before. That's why I prefer video--gives a more realistic picture.

Hagel looks like he is having the time of his life watching the new President.

15. Obama needs to talk to more people than Petraeus...
He has a political agenda. Find out from the troops why, exactly why, the violence has dropped? Is it the boots on the streets or is it the dollars in the pockets of the tribal leaders, including al Sadr? This is important information that we need to know. If the dollars are shut off, what then? How long are we expected to pay these bribes to keep from killing us and themselves??

16. I'm certain Obama (and Hagel and Reed) know about the payoffs.
They know that Petraeus is just following orders and "making it happen" however he has to--and they also know how difficult it will be to get our troops out, because all the "surge" did was to temporarily placate the trouble-makers. It will get ugly, I fear, but I think Obama is prepared to accept that.

17. Apropos of nothing, and I probably shouldn't say this about any Republican, but
Chuck Hagel is really attractive.

21. Well, for an old dude. He looks older than his years. He's the same age as Mittens Romney--
hard to believe.

23. Well, that "old dude" is only a few years older than me. He's better looking than
Romney, IMO.

24. Didn't mean to offend! I'm in my thirties, a guy in his sixties is my dad's age--
so I guess "old dude" is relative to wherever you're at, LOL!

19. Why is it in every pic Obama is not wearing a vest, but McCain is vested w/massive troop protection?

Is General Petraeus the Paris Hilton of the military? It's like you can't mention military without his name somewhere.
