What do you all think about this Jack Cafferty fellow on CNN?
I think he's pretty hilarious. He seems to talk like more of a real person on air compared to the other stuffed shirt talking heads.

1. I think he's great, he's one of the few from CNN I truly like.
He always tells it like it is, other than him I usually watch MSNBC.

3. That's it. He tells it like it is...
...so even if I don't like what he says, I can still appreciate his frankness.

23. I don't miss Mr. Brown at all.
on the run up to the Iraq debacle war he was reading some viewer mail and one said that (paraphrasing) some people (meaning the MIC, etc.,) really do like war.

and Aaron, either the total innocent on the way the world works or the biggest jackass got all huffy and stated that no one likes war, and if you think htat you are stupid.

ha!
talk about stupid.

29. I wasn't watching Aaron Brown in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. I heard he
was like all the other MSM people and beat the drum. I did too. I bought Colin Powell's speech hook line and sinker. I though it would take a few weeks and then Iraqis would be free of Saddam. And I certainly didn't think the White House would make as many serious blunders policywise as it did. Or leave Afghanistan hanging unfinished.

Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 06:15 PM by Kaylee
He's made my day more often than not with his take on the current Administration. However, I wouldn't hold him up as a savior of liberalism in the media....I have a feeling he'll be just as hard on Obama.

..he thinks the world of Barack Obama ..

Also, I know that when Stephanie Miller flirted with him and told him she was putting him on her "shortlist for future husbands", you couldn't wipe the smile off of his face for WEEKS!!!

Edited on Mon Jul-21-08 06:21 PM by ErinBerin84
CNN was doing its best "20 years in the pews!" outrage, and he said "So, my pastor says crap that I don't agree with all of the time, and I never get up and leave!"

He believes what he says and is not a whore waiting for someone to hand him his talking points. I'm surprised they have kept him as long as they have.

19. He's the type who condemns whoever is in power, or whoever is seen as screwing up
Just the opposite of a Norah O'Donnell-type, who fawns over the party in charge, the ones she deals with every day.

I like Cafferty for the most part, but with an understanding his style is designed to birth threads like this. He wants to come across as the blunt every-man type. It's basically a no-risk approach.

21. LOL.
If "condemns" means VOTES FOR...then I agree.

In his own words ..."I bought the whole song and dance about wmd's"

He was 100% behind Bush till 2005 ..including voting for him twice.

I return at 4:55, 5:50, and 6:45. The stuff that airs before and after Cafferty isn't worth watching.

So I don't.

31. he used to be a real shill for Bush, but Katrina changed him.
I couldn't stand him... but he was furious about Katrina and wouldn't shut up. Ever since then, he's completely reversed himself on Bush and I think his 180 is genuine. He does like Obama, but he may do another 180 when he's president. Who knows... but for now, he and Toobin are the only pundits on CNN who push back on the anti-Obama bias. True, they'll take shots at him too here and there, but on the whole, they don't let unabashed bullshit go by unnoticed.
