According to Der Spiegel, Germany is asking Obama not to ask for more German troops
for Afghanistan

The German Democratic Socialist Party is rejoicing about Barack Obama, but distancing itself in the area of foreign policy. Leading Democratic Socialists are warning the candidate not to request more German troops for Afghanistan. The Christian Democrats are relaxed about it -- but they too expect Obama's election would mean diplomatic conflicts.

If Obama says we need more troops in Afghanistan then dammit we need more troops! Maybe he should remind the Germans in his speech this week that we still have Military bases in Germany that mean a lot of revenue for their country.

2. I disagree. If Germany doesn't want to send more troops, that is their right. nt

Obama's not capable of being wrong, or other nations can't disagree with him?
