8. Interesting body language compared to bush
Pictures of DimSon with foreign leaders always show Bush looking into the camera, with the foreign leader looking at Bush (signaling that Bush is The One We All Look Up To). It's so consistent that it must be a rule for the White House news bureau. Obama's shown in conversation, both looking at each other, getting something done instead of posing and manipulating.

19. As I was scrolling through those pics I was thinking the same thing..
I noticed how Obama seems to be attending to what other individuals are saying.

Bush never seems to be present (yes, always looking into the camera, because it's all about HIM).
He can't interact in any meaningful way with a group.

25. Wow...I was thinking the same thing, too - body language & facial expressions
really are the ultimate "lie detector/window to the soul" indicator of how someone is really feeling. These local leaders seem genuinely ecstatic with the prospect of a President Obama, and the accompanying feeling that real progress may be made once he's in office...

This trip could have gone either way, but it looks like a total win for Obama. I'm finding myself starting to be hopeful about the middle east situation....just a little.

Sure enough they still have the counter "days since Barack Obama visited Iraq"

Wonder when they'll reset it.

16. I can't wait until the GOP & McCain challenge Obama to do something else.
If their next challenge works out as well as this trip to Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama will win by 30 points.

35. Yes, Andria Mitchell is a bit of a snit today, giggle
I doubt she is through being politely critical of Obama and schmoozie with the repubs she interviews. Too bad the Dems have to fight the media to get decent attention. Apparently Obama didn't treat the reporters like idols while on this trip!
