Should we be worried about New Hampshire?
I don't really think McCain will win NH but out of all the Kerry states NH is the closest to going red in my opinion.

1. It's no longer 2000, and the 'Straight Talk Express' is up on blocks...

I think DU'ers here give mcloser far too much credit.

5. No
In 2006, the Democrats swept New Hampshire, so it won't be a problem this time around.

13. I could not agree more
We contest every state and put up a big fight in every state.
I think it's extremely arrogant to think that we can write off any state or group of voters. You have to work for each one.

It should be called Lean Obama.Out of the Gore and Kerry states it,and Michigan are the only ones Mccain has a remote chance of winning.Obama should be viewed as ahead In both but can't take It for granted.

11. It was nearly 4 points more blue than the nation in 2004
Bush won nationally by 2.46% but Kerry took NH by 1.37%. McCain has strength there but considering the recent House and gov results and a heated senate race I think Obama will narrowly prevail, assuming he carries the national popular vote. I'm not confident the + 3.83% will hold up or increase, but we don't need it to.

New Hampshire:

'88: Bush (62.41 - 36.29) = + 18.40% Republican
'92: Clinton (38.86 - 37.64) = + 4.34% Republican
'96: Clinton (49.32 - 39.37) = + 1.42% Democratic
'00: Bush (48.07 - 46.80) = + 1.78% Republican
'04: Kerry (50.24 - 48.87) = + 3.83% Democratic
