to what we've endured for so long.

3. One thing Obama has managed to do this week is to look presidential.
McBush, on the other hand, looks like an old guy going out for the early bird special at the wiener haus.

4. one thing is certain...
Every head-of-state he was photographed with this week was beaming. It's amazing. If nothing else, they seem to genuinely like him. The smiles are one thing, but the body language of all of them tells the real story.

15. They all look so relaxed around him
and he doesn't look nervous at all. These aren't the usual stiffly posed photos we're used to seeing with L'il Boots or McCain. These are candid shots where the subjects show a genuine rapport.

He will need that for prosecutions in 2009.

8. Blair is taller than I realized
So is Brown. It' almost a requirement for a politician in the television age.

Whenever Blair appeared in Washington with Little Georgie, the official White House pictures were taken very carefully, to make L.G. look the same height as Blair.

failed him and the rest of the world.

17. Obama's grandfather worked to free his homeland from the British.
(For the record, so did mine!)

It'll be nice to see what happens when we have a president who holds the British at arm's length instead of assuming that everything they propose is for our benefit.

22. These world leaders look like the are taking pleasure in speaking
to an American that can speak with clarity and without belligerence. I think the nations of the world are tired of being bullied by * and his thugs. I still can't believe that America allowed this bunch of criminals to darken the halls of power for so damned long.

24. One thing that stands in all the pics I've seen of his trip -
Edited on Sat Jul-26-08 12:05 PM by sparosnare
Obama genuinely looks engaged; his body language is natural and not forced. Those there with him look the same. The visuals will be around long after the specifics of the trip have dropped out of conversation. They will have lasting impact and give us a glimpse of what Obama as president will do for this country in the world arena.

I know the Republicans and media dogs are trying to find fault but there isn't anything there. Obama established himself as he needed to and can now focus on the economy. Hopefully take a little rest as well.

25. Wati - Aren't US presidents supposed to walk around with their fly undone?
Get locked out of rooms?
Dance embarrassing jigs?
Touch other world leaders inappropriately?
User vulgar language like "stop this shit"?

:sarcasm:
