McCains Own At Least Nine Homes at Over $13 Million
Edited on Sun Jul-27-08 10:15 PM by rainbow4321
This may be old news, if so, sorry in advance. But WTF????????

http://pnmn.3cdn.net/318952be39eb0ece6b_30m6btpeq.pdf

Scroll down to page 5 of the pdf link and keep on goin'.....lists all their "dwellings", how much they cost (like paying $700,000 IN CASH for their daughter's place when she graduated from college).

---------
The first 4 pages of the pdf tell about McCain/Gramm and the housing industry

On edit: Anything listed with "LLC" is owned/run by the McCain family. Apparently, they have 3 or 4 of them.

http://www.thestreet.com/print/story/10345319.html

McCain has seven children, three of which are from a previous marriage. He discloses that his dependent children have millions of dollars in assets through a long series of JPMorgan JPM mutual funds and a series of limited liability corporations with names like Wild Creek Enterprises LLC, Dream Catcher Family LLC, Wild River LLC and Wild Rapids LLC.

4. I don't care how many homes they have or how much money they have.
I care about McNuts ideas and plans, and they sound a whole lot like a continuation of ShrubCo to me! Kerry, Edwards, and Kennedy had lots of money too! What does THAT matter to anyone?

7. It's The Double Standard
And to an extent, the whole phoniness of it all. One thing about Kennedy is that he never pretends like he's one of us. He seems to have outstanding empathy for the working folk for some one who has had such a privileged existence, but doesn't hide his elitism. Kerry too. Edwards also seemed to want to stick up for the little guy, although he played up the whole "son of a mill worker" bit. Yet, despite all these guys have done to try to help the poor and middle class, they get scrutinized for their lifestyles. It is as if they can't really care about the less fortunate otherwise they wouldn't be wealthy.

Meanwhile, McCain (like most Republicans) gets a free pass to act like he's one of us. It's frustrating and unfair that no one pays attention to the wealth of Republicans, but think there must be something wrong with a rich Democrat.

10. You're right, but I honestly haven't heard McNuts say he was one of "us".
His whole campaign seems to hinge on Iraq. If Shrub finally decides to begin pulling out the troops, McNuts is screwed AGAIN! I wonder if he still loves the Shrubster?

5. The media will never, ever, pick this one up and run with it.
They did it to Kerry. It worked very well for them in 2004.

This is going to be invisible in 2008.

Good thing we have such a liberal media.

12. Nor will they go thru the rest of their extensive financial data
http://solari.com/blog/?p=1137

Pretty damn long list....his kids' LLC stuff is just a tiny portion of it all. Hopefully the Dems are going thru it with a fine toothed comb.

8. Gore's house, Bush's house, Kerry's houses, Edwards's house, McCain's houses.
What do people think, someone with $100 million is going to buy a two-room fixer-upper down by the power plant?

Rich people have big houses, and often more than one. I would if I could. I don't care about McCain's houses, I care about what he's not going to do to stimulate the economy, get us healthcare, stop murdering innocent people in foreign lands, appoint Supreme Court justices who follow the law rather than an extremist ideology...

I don't begrudge McCain his houses. I like McCain. He's a fun curmudgeon. It'd be swell to have a beer with him and chew the vegetarian bull, so to speak. All I care about is keeping McCain out of a little shack over on Pennsylvania Ave. He can have any other house he wants. He can have mine if it gets the Republicans out of office.

16. Double Standards - Hypocrisy

House size and millions are constant talking points when it comes to the Gore's, the Kerry's (especially Theresa Kerry & her millions), the Edward's 30,000 square foot home.
But why isn't it when it comes to 9 frickin homes - the beer heiress who has been preparing for years to become first lady. How much energy does it take to keep 8 homes up and running while they sit there empty?

Weird that they need so many. Even if rich, what's the point? You can afford to stay in hotels.

was reading this in some article about how the McCain's are making their way, struggling to survive this recession...Cindy spends over $700,000/month on her AMEX alone on such necessities as a new colored seasonal fur coat.

23. He probably has a little bell to call the butler.
The guy doesn't gas up his own vehicles, needs a private jet to navigate his home state and - despite the massive wealth - still gloms onto those "socialist" government benefits like disability and social security, the same programs he doesn't want anyone else to have. I can't stand him.
