I was very happy to see everyone from Andrea Mitchell to David Shuster making it clear that the ad is FALSE. Especially how strong Andrea Mitchell was on "making it perfectly clear" that it is NOT true that Obama wanted to bring the cameras with him, that he visited injured troops more than once in Iraq AND Afghanistan with no cameras at all. A rare  for the media today.

7. I agree that she does, but I think he won her over on the overseas trip.
Not only did she get to ask the first question(s), she was impressed with his trip to Israel.

I just posted the same thing. They only had to buy a fraction of the airtime it's getting.

8. Yes, but they DID say very negative things about it both before and after each time...
saying it's flat-out false, he looks desperate, etc.

Which do you think had a greater impact? To me it was like someone saying, "Well bless their heart..." before proceeding with a pithy negative comment.

4. They're playing it over and over again though..
just to make their point? That ad is going to be burned in the public's mind now, it's a classic swiftboating maneuver...

11. The coverage I've seen..
although I didn't see the specific segment you're speaking of, they had people who were both defensive and critical of it.

16. The ad has been playing all day. Meanwhile, someone said
the actual ad has only aired 5 times around the entire country. So I'm not sure I'm happy with MSNBC right now.
