9. Remember Fred "The Dead" Thompson? Last spring he was able
to hold a "should I run for Prez" meeting with GOP Congressmen (my own barfy Jeff Fortenberry being one of them)--that's right, he was an ACTOR and hadn't even announced his CANDIDACY for the GOP PRIMARY, and NO ONE thought it was "presumptuous" for him to hold a meeting with Congressmen.
