Rachel Maddow "Smack Down" for Buchanan...I heard so much about turned out to be NOTHING!!!!

Somebody posted a "You Tube" on "DU Videos" but when we watched it we never saw ANY SMACK DOWN of Maddow to Buchanan. There was much HYPE and FRUFAH here on DU that MSNBC had SCRUBBED it ALL...and that folks would be working hard to get what MSNBC had "Scrubbed."

So..when it finally appears it FALLS WAY SHORT OF WHAT WAS PROMISED."

Does MSNBC HAVE COPORATE SHILLS posting here on DU? Folks working for "flagging ratings MSNBC" who pump "Dancing with Rove/David Gregorie's stupid show? :shrug:

Is this what it's coming down to here on DU. We are SHILLS FOR GE/MSNBC?

All in all it was a win for the good guys so I wouldn't be so quick to holler foul.

And even Dances With Rove managed to put the Obama quote in context - one of the few positive things I've seen from him.

It's something because we have someone out there responding instead of shilling for the right. And it's someone who has so much poise and is so quick on her feet. Rachel is an important, young voice of the left taking on that rotting corpse of a racist Pat Buchanan.

Any time one of our people pushes back against him and doesn't let him have the last word before the commercial break, it's a great moment worthy of applause. And don't think Rachel didn't have her eye on the clock. She knew what she was doing on several levels.

Rachael has been there and has battled Buchanan and others for I don't know how long. She stands up for our candidate and what the hell else do you want her to do.

Posts in thread "claimed" that the vidio wasn't available from MSNBC...it was "scrubbed...or something" so that folks like "us" wouldn't be able to see it.

Many DU'ers on theread offered to go back to their TIVO's and try to download it because they implied it was just the best thing they'd ever seen.

The damned thing finally get's up on DU FRONT PAGE VIDEOS and it's a DAMNED DISAPPOINTMENT. Nothing THERE.

So..either GE/MSNBC has "shills" hawking stuff to get DU'ers to do an "E=Mail Campaign" or more to "force GE/MSNBC to RELEASE this incredible Maddow "put down" to Buchanan..(which really BOOSTS MSNBC/GE's RATINGS on the LIBERAL BLOGS) or it was a plant story to get us to watch MSNBC more often waiting to see if Rachel the "Dragon Slayer" can fulfill our "Fantasies" about how to take down Pat Buchanan.

I was all into this until I saw that it all seems very "silly and contrived" after watching the FINAL VIDEO that was POSTED where the whole thing is NOTHING.

I gave the video link in my "OP" and you watch for yourself to see if the HYPE is WORTH THE WATCH.

Maybe the buildup was too much. I saw it earlier and thought she just did a good job of dealing with PB. No fireworks. But she kept firm and got in all she wanted to get across. Her timing was spot on.

I guess what I was wondering is what you expected. Maybe some fireworks? :D I'm waiting for that on January 20th when Obama gets inaugurated. That's when Rachel gets to light the fuse on top of Buchanan's head and we all put on our Obama-style sunglasses for the show.

Yeah, I ate up the hype and wanted to see Rachel make Pat beg for forgiveness for the wrongness of his whole life.

Not that magnitude, but having a liberal fighter that doesn't fold and has the presence of mind to continue to drive home the main point which is usually covered up completely by MSM.

Rachel ain't a mere token, she an opinion content provider. Shes part of us underground band of freaks that want to carve in Mt Rushmore for all eternity the image of our naked emperor. And she's gonna keep fighting or get suicided in the process.

I'm really pissed and think it's MSNBC promoters here on the blogs promoting their stuff because their ratings are tanking. :shrug: I hope I'm wrong ...but I've found on my years here that something hyped this big..ususally doesn't peter out like this video did.

Maybe it's DU 3.0 or something that stuff that's posted turns out to be crap...Figures ...given how much is at stake in this election.

I just find it sad to see something "falsly hyped" without any dissenting opinion.. There was a "Call Out" to bombard MSNBC to RELEASE THE VIDEO that was held CAPTIVE! What was released didn't seem to stand up to something being "Held Captive." That's what I'm saying. :shrug: for what it's worth.

I was just thinking of how many times I've been disappointed by a movie when people said it was a must see. Those became my least favorite movies.

We're all on edge here. We're afraid the BS is going to stick. Its like group PTSD as a result of Swiftboaters and "Gore is a liar". Then there was NO ONE on TV calling them on their shit. Now we have a few (Olbermann, Rachel, Abrams and sometimes Matthews) who will stand up to the BS and call 'em on it. I thought that's what Rachel did.

There was alot of hype that you probably missed about this. But, I understand what you say.

I watched the thing twice and I gotta say, I still haven't figured out why this got so much play?
