It's Clinton!! It's Kerry!! It's Kaine!! It's Bayh..it's...let's wait!
First we heard the rumor that Obama might have to pick Clinton to gain all her supporters.

Then the talk about John Kerry began.

Then came Joe Biden and Chris Dodd.

Next was Tim Kaine, which the media played up as the all-but-VP.

Now it's speculation about Evan Bayh.

I say we wait and see. I must admit I have gotten caught up in this speculation, but I believe the Obama campaign is purposely pushing ALL of these names to show they have plenty of good choices and to tease the choice to build anticipation.

But at the end of the day, I know Obama will make the right choice.

Onto to victory, friends!

3. What? What?
We're actually suppose to wait until Obama announces his choice? That can't be right. This is DU.

8. I absolutely hate his VP choice
What could he have been thinking? I feel sick. Obama just handed the election on a silver platter to McCain. Sorry, just practicing :)

17. The heads would be spinning. Republicans would be joining in mass suicide.
And to borrow a line from my good friend, Hillary Clinton:

"the light will come down, celestial choirs will be singing and the world would be perfect"

15. Based on what? Just curious.
Are you talking about political judgment, as in tactics during a campaign, or actual substantive judgment that will matter while governing?

16. I really think he's shown both, honestly.
Do you not believe he has the right judgment?

I think he'll pick someone who fits him and his vision for the country, and that helps him politically (even though he's said otherwise)

That's why I'm asking people for specifics.

19. You aren't convinced he has the right judgment? Are you supporting him?
If not, why are you here?

20. Strange discussion.
I read and post here because:

1. I'm a Democrat
2. I have donated to this site

Do I need to march in lockstep and put aside questions and critical thinking? That doesn't sound very intelligent and Democratic to me.

I should note: I have asked twice now -- in straightforward, civil fashion -- for any explanation or specifics for why you believe what you stated. So far, you haven't listed anything.

21. You know who'd be a great choice?
Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano. First of all, she's a state governor; she has the executive experience. Since she's a woman, that would cut the legs out from under all the screeching Hillary-maniacs, or at least most of them (it would not surprise me if McCain picked a woman in order to try to take advantage of the PUMAs)...Best of all, she's Governor of Arizona, McCain's home state...which would force him to spend money to campaign in Arizona, which he probably never thought in a million years he'd have to do...and that's gonna piss him off in spectacular fashion—and when legendary rage-a-holic McCain gets pissed off, he becomes uncontrollably unstable, which couldn't do anything but help.

But I wouldn't suggest any of that if I didn't think Napolitano were capable on her own merits.
