McCain's labels won't stick
McCain is trying to label Obama a celebrity, as in a fluffy empty headed no nothing, and it won't work. The reason is because that is not who Obama is and trying to convince the public that a man with a deep intellect is actually an airhead is just stupid. I don't know why they are going down this road. If he chose to run a decent campaign he would have at least hung on to his dignity.

2. yes, i have actually heard...
people saying that McCain is intelligent and understands the issues and that Obama is not very smart. To me it's so obvious from watching him for two minutes that McCain is a bumbling phoney and it's so frustrating to me that everyone can't see it. Are they lying or do they truely not see how intelligent Obama is? Do they really believe that Obama will not destoy McCain in the debates?

3. If someone is a hardcore republican they
have to believe that McCain is the smart one. The fact that he graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at Annapolis and that Obama has a degree from Harvard Law School where he established himself as an intellectual is of no importance. They have to believe what fits into their world view, to acknowledge the truth would cause their entire being to careen out of control into turmoil. It would be like asking someone to change their religion. These people can't do it, so they set up a false truth for themselves. This is exactly what these people did when they voted for Bush.
