He's the communications director for Obama 2008.

Robert Gibbs is infamous for being part of a 527 group that used an Osama bin Ladin attack ad against Howard Dean to derail his presidential bid. That's some nasty shit and is regrettable, but with what we are going up against we are going to need people who know how to throw as much shit as they do. Negative ads work, period.
