1. Mmm, I don't think Nunn and Hagel are on the short list. I don't even think
they're on the long list. Just sayin'.

7. Biden also won the MSNBC Veepstakes...
where MSNBC readers voted on an original slate of 16 candidates, narrowing the field each week, the winner was Biden - Hillary Clinton was the other finalist.

Sidenote: Romney won the Repub Veepstakes on MSNBC.

6. I'll take what comes but of those 3 prefer Biden and Kaine to Bayh.
I'm hoping for the surprise choice of Brian Schweitzer, actually.

8. Biden has risen in my ranks
I think an attack dog VP would help Obama a lot, since Obama's nature is not to get nasty.

13. of these, Kaine

Governor of Virginia - could influence "Southern" vote (Mr. Retrograde, ex-Alabamian, insists Virginia is not the real South). Also has administrative experience to offset some of Obama's "inexperience": I would not like to see 2 senators on the ticket.

He's also a Catholic, with ties to Jesuits (I'm going by the Wikipedia article here: I don't know much about him). That would place the Catholic powers-that-be in a bit of a dilemma: push for the GOP candidate on the grounds he's anti-abortion, or push for the Dem candidate to get a Catholic into high office.

I still want Richardson, but I guess we can save him for Sec. of State. Hillary for Attorney General!

ETA: Kaine may also help pick up some of the Confused Voter demographic: Kaine, McCain, what's the difference? A vote's a vote :)

15. So, the disenfranchisement of the LGBT community by a Kaine pic is inconsequential?

16. Other: Russ Feingold. A better choice than those three.
And more likely, since his name hasn't been beaten to death in the press.
