McCain Is A Nice Old Man But Is He Still Able To Lead? August 1st McCain Video That Must Go Viral
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 01:52 PM by cryingshame
the last view shows McCain blanked out and going to finger a wristlet he's wearing.

Others have mentioned memory prompts for people with Alzheimers. Reagan had his jelly beans

1. He's not "nice." He is a clear and present threat to this nation.
He will do and say anything to get selected.

Whatever credibility he once had is now gone. He is run by the neocons.

7. #1. that's simply using Lieberman's "he's a nice young man" statement. #2. Independent voters
and Low Info voters think he's nice. You get more by framing the statement than just being outright blunt.

3. This is a hard one. There's nothing wrong with aging...
But, let's face it, John McCain hasn't aged well. He's losing his mental quickness (if he hasn't lost it already) and he would be a disaster as a President. His Presidency would be run by his advisers (and we've all seen how well that works out).

27. It's not hard. It may be a condition brought on by age, but no matter how...
...it comes on, it's not a condition that I or my fellow Americans want in our pilots, our surgeons, or our Presidents.

Plenty of ways to frame a message on this without ever implying he has ever led. He has not.

14. I proved you wrong. Now go find Lieberman's statement about Obama being "nice YOUNG man"
and realize it's easier to use an opening someone else gives you and turning their crap back on them.

This is about winning. Not proving how correct and smart and informed YOU are.

Lieberman and McCain put that energy out there. It's silly to waste energy crafting a whole new approach or angle of attack.

6. This is like where the reporter asked him the Viagra question.
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 02:16 PM by Walter Sobchak
He was obviously confused and forgot the line of questioning, but the reporter helped him play it off like he was uncomfortable from the topic.

Anyone who has been close to someone with Alzheimer's should be able to spot this pretty easily.

15. Now, that's just scary.
This country better decide whether they want a president in grasp of his mental faculties, or one who's susceptible to periods of 'blanking out' like we see in that video.

I posted it to my blog, and everyone who has a blog should post it, too.

Thanks for posting it here. I probably would have missed it otherwise.

There's not disputing it. This guy is not fit (literally) to lead.

"Jed" is the BOMB, by the way. Who the hell is this guy? The Obama Team needs to sign him up!

24. I have an idea for a thoroughly evil video about the age issue...
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 07:45 PM by scarletwoman
The video would open with the image of Bush at the start of his presidency and slowly morph his face showing how much he's aged over the past 8 years. The next part would show McCain's face as he looks now, and then would morph it through 8 years of aging -- just your standard computerized aging program like they do with missing kids, or movie aging effects.

Meanwhile, there'd be a solemn voice-over saying something like: "We've all seen how the high stress office of President of the United States ages a person. Do we really want someone who already has such a head start?" (hopefully, a good writer could come up with something much more clever, but that would be the general idea...)

My guess is that an age-morphing program applied to McCain's visage would produce a rather horrifying end result -- one that would make the viewer go, "Eeeeewwww!"

Too evil?

29. I'm thinking The Mummy, myself.
But seriously, I'd want it to look like a completely legit aging thing -- no over-the-top messing around. It wouldn't be effective if it looked like it was purposely forced into grotesquery, it would need to look an absolutely natural aging process.

So what do you think of the concept? I have neither the tools or the knowledge do make such a video -- but surely, SOMEBODY does.

Republicans put a weak guy in front to disguise their criminal aggressive violent agenda. McCain fits the bill exactly.
