The Genesis of a Smear: Today's Edition- Obama is too Skinny
Edited on Sun Aug-03-08 06:11 PM by burythehatchet
(This absurd story has been posted at least twice. However, the evolution of the story is important to recognize)

Amy Chozick (real name Sara Mullins?) presented a piece in the weekend edition of the Wall Street Journal complaining Obama may be too skinny to be president because Americans are so fat.
WSj link: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121755336096303089.html?mod=hpp_us_inside_today

Sections of that article are cut and pasted from a McCainus press release.

Amy conducted her research by posting messages on the Yahoo Message Boards

Is Obama too skinny to be president?

Does anyone out there think Barack Obama is too thin to be president? Anyone having a hard time relating to him and his “no excess body fat”? Please let me know. Thanks!

Love your response and your username (onlinebeerbellygirl). Would you mind shooting me an email so I can ask you a few more quesitons? My email is Thanks so much!

The entire rest of the brief thread consists of people saying that the question is stupid, and/or making fun of Chozick.

Don't bother to find the Yahoo messages because they have been scrubbed. Gee, I wonder why.

She posted the same query on another section of the Yahoo boards. This one has not been scrubbed, yet. That message received 1 reply from a poster who had apparently discovered her journalistic skills and chose to expose them.

If someone can capture it, please do so.

By the way, Amy has disabled her profile on Yahoo.

She has been exposed. Therefore, I would have assumed that the non-story would die right there. Apparently not. Rupert's Wall Street Urinal has sent it over to Rupert's Faux Nooze and now the Faux website has echoed the nonsense.

Now you can expect the flapping gums on Fox to pick it up and echo it for as long as it takes to push the talking point into CNN (about 5 minutes), ABC (6 minutes), and the rest of the Whoreporate media.

What WE can do is get this out to KO and others who are inclined to expose the whores and stop it before it becomes an accepted talking point.

1. And Gore was to smart for us...
That will be a good rationalization if Obama should "lose" the election: the fat people voted in numbers, the skinny ones were to busy exercising, or to faint from not eating.

Do I really live here?

2. CNN just said that Obama is losing because he's only ahead by 3 points.
I can't wait until this is over.

They say that it's a referendum on Obama, the repubs are so awful that Obama ought to be far ahead and since he is not FAR ahead, well he is losing.

Bizzarro world.
