3. Joe Dead Intern would pull a Chucklenuts maneuver - cut and run
from duty. One morning with Rachel and Joe would be armless, legless and ball-less. He would get his butt on a bar stool in Alabama before the hour was out. Joe missing in action. Win win.

4. She really brings out the bully in him
Have you ever seen them go at it on Race For The Whitehouse? He's really rude to her.

5. I wouldn't be able to watch because I'd be on the porch watching the pigs fly over
This will happen the day after Malloy gets 600 affiliates like Limpballs.

12. Actually, I think she will get a show, and a better slot than early-AM...
per http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/17/arts/television/17madd.html?ref=arts

“At some point, I don’t know when, she should have a show,” said Phil Griffin, hours before he was promoted on Wednesday to president of MSNBC. “She’s on the short list. It’s a very short list. She’s at the top.”

Keith Olbermann

I don't see Rachel on this list.

18. By 11/2? you're probably right.
Scuttlebutt I'd heard was that David Gregory goes over to Press the Meat full time after the election, and maybe Rachel gets that 6pm slot, but who knows. Probably wishful thinking.

Anyway, I do think they recognize a telegenic personality in Maddow; they know she can draw the demographic their advertisers want. Will they have the balls to actually give her a show? your cynicism may be well placed, but I'll go the "Half-glass full" route.

15. You think he'd agree to that?
it's like hannity agreeing to co host the show with someone with more balls than colmes... they'd never agree to it and since they are the stars of the show, the network is going to cave everytime...

16. I think they should run a Maddow-Buchanan show opposite Hannity and Colmes
It would be fun to watch and Pat Buchanan has more brains then Hannity (on rare occasions I find myself agreeing with him which is frightening) so it would actually be interesting to watch. Either that or put her with Joe Scarbo. Either way, they'd beat H&C in ratings in no time.

17. Rachel's attitude has been so demoralizing that sadly she would provide
Edited on Tue Aug-05-08 01:02 PM by Liberal_Stalwart71
the ammunition for Morning Jerk's anti-Obama smears.

No, thanks. Rachel is a good match against Buchanan when she wants to be but I think she, Mike Malloy and others are being irresponsible on their talking shows when they demoralize voters against the nominee with their defeatest attitudes.

Think about this: the Repukes HATE John McCain. They can't stand him. But I don't hear Hannity or Limbaugh or any of those disgusting people bash him for not being the perfect conservative like we bash, trash and threaten not to vote for Obama because he's not the "liberal" that we want him to be.

It's counterproductive.

If she's too defeated to fight, then we sadly have no liberal stalwarts willing to stand up.
