The worst that could come out is that Obama's parents weren't actually married, or at least not legally married. So what? Weren't there questions about whether Clinton's parents were legally married too? Who cares?

The claims from these wingnuts:

* Sen. Obama has dual-citizenship (either US/Canada, US/Kenya, US/Indonesian, or US/UK Colonial, depending on the source). As a result, he has "divided loyalties" and is ineligible to be president.

* The COLB was forged to hide the fact he was born in BC, Canada because his mother was at a home for unwed mothers.

* The COLB was forged to hide the fact that he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro and given Indonesian citizenship at the time, (which would have made him a Muslim according to Indonesian law.)

* The COLB was forged to hide the adoption and his legal name of "Barry Soetoro"

* (The latest) It was his sister's COLB that was used for the forgery.

Most of this tripe is coming from PUMA radicals and tinfoil hat nuts.

HAve you ever heard anything so absurd before in your life? They claim that Obam's birth certificate is a forgery based upon digital analyisis of the scan of the document. They don't even have teh document in question!

He was born in Panama, after all. And that, unlike the Obama stories, is NOT a lie.

I've yet to hear any of their "findings" reported on any of the major news channels/shows.

Put it this way, if McCain's camp thought there was any value to the certificate angle they'd have already run an advert on it.

If he has not been telling the truth and has held other Citizenships it would at least satisfy me that he has told the World that he is going to be Loyal in the Future."

As I said in a recent post on "Yes To Democracy", It doesn't matter if Sen. Obama presents these things or not. Why? Because it will NEVER be enough. Even if he were to do all these things, the PUMAs and their allies would just find something else more and more and more unreasonable to demand. That in a nutshell is what PUMA is trying to do here - set the bar higher and higher, make more and more unreasonable and outrageous remands, and then claim "proof" when they're not met.

It's a very typical "moving the goalposts" tactic.

("TexasDarlin", and it's cross-posted to the formerly sane "NoQuarter") There's a very vocal minority in PUMA that is just squeeing in orgasmic joy over this whole myth. Basically they're claiming his birth certificate is fake to cover up an adoption by his stepfather and possible citizenship issues.

If you see someone calling Sen. Obama "Barry Soetoro", you can pretty much bet money they've bought into this myth.

As for "Israel Insider", they're a web-based NeoCon-alligned news site known for the fact that there's not an Obama slur, slander, or myth they didn't like. The only people who think they're credible are NeoCons and PUMA.

For a group that claims to be "progressives" and keep talking about how wonderful Sen. Clinton is, they seem to be awfully chummy with Freepers and other NeoCon righties. Certainly they have no problems using their news sources if it means slandering Sen. Obama - even if it means overlooking or ignoring what those sources have said in the past about Sen. Clinton.
