To the right-wing "torture works" morans, here's irrefutable proof that it doesn't:
John McCain.

"When I was first interrogated and really had to give some information because of the physical pressures that were on me, I named the starting lineup -- defensive line -- of the Pittsburgh Steelers as my squadron-mates!"

If torture works, then why didn't Five Plane McCain give them accurate information?

5. Torture works ... see "The Shock Doctrine"
It is just that the routine use of torture has as its purpose the production of fear. It is not really about obtaining information.
