What a fantastic idea! Obama to advertise his energy plan on gas pump TVs...
Edited on Wed Aug-06-08 09:06 AM by scheming daemons
Per firstread.msnbc.com:

NBC’s Andrea Mitchell reports that Obama supporters in 24 states will talk to voters at gas stations this week and distribute copies of Obama’s energy plan. In addition, the Obama campaign announced that it will run this ad on a network of TV screens that are affixed atop gas pumps throughout Florida.

Advertising his energy plan to people at the very moment they are pumping gas is a genius move!

This campaign is on the ball.

Kudos!

1. Very good.
When people are at the gas pumps, they are fully aware of the real deal regarding the prices, etc.

Nominated.

DNC launches 'ExxonMcCain ’08'
By MIKE ALLEN | 8/6/08 6:59 AM EST

DNC fake check

The party will display a fake check from “Exxon & Friends” to John McCain” for $2 million, with the notation: “THANKS FOR STAYING IN THE TANKS FOR BIG OIL.”

Stung by Republican taunts about tire gauges, Democrats are pumping up a stunt of their own.

The Democratic National Committee on Wednesday is launching an “Exxon McCain ’08” campaign, complete with a gas-pump logo and garish red buttons, bumper stickers and yard signs.

The party is opening a Web site where campaign “chum” will be available for download, and the goodies will be distributed to state parties and organizers nationwide.

The fantasy presidential campaign is a rebuke to the Republican National Committee for tire gauges labeled “Obama’s Energy Plan” that were distributed to campaign reporters this week.

And it reinforces a new ad by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) in which the announcer says: “Oil's filling John McCain's campaign with 2 million dollars in contributions.
