Obama must be anouncing soon
Cause Hillary and co have certainly turned up the threat meter.

Its really a sad thing to watch. The VP spot could have been hers easily had she just accepted defeat gracefully instead of attempting to browbeat Obama every step of the way.

1. I don't think so.
The same arguements against her would have applied regardless. The last thing a black candidate needs is to be saddled with one of the most hated people in America as a running mate.

43. I like her too. But there are plenty of people who don't. Why is it ok to bash the Clintons but a
horrible offense to say something bad about Barack and Michelle? And let my just point out, I didn't personally insult her, I just pointed out her poll numbers.

He asked about her poll numbers. Frankly, I don't know what they are - but how is it a bash to refer to them?

4. do you really think she
ever had a chance? there's the "bill factor". i don't think obama would want bill to have access to the white house. hillary and bill would try to run the show.

7. Bill odly enough is likely one of her biggest drawbacks
but I think they would have likely risked it if the relationship between the camps wasn't so piss poor and if she hadn't tried to force Obama to her will.

13. she would be a cheney-like vp and want to run the show.
that's pretty obvious with how she has carried on so her being chosen is zero to none chance.

unless Obama is an idiot, which he has never shown himself to be to this point.

But I think the latest push from the hillary camp to try to make him pick her is pretty obvious. Time is growing short.

Leaving the VP out there alone dangling in front of the press.

Plus they usually do a special tour or whatever following an announcement.

18. really?
behind the united front, says an adviser, "it's not a great relationship, and it's probably not going to become one." In private conversations, associates say, Clinton remains skeptical that Obama can win in the fall. That's a sentiment some other Democrats believe is not just a prediction but a wish, because it would prove her right about his weaknesses as a general-election candidate and possibly pave the way for her to run again in 2012. Clinton is also annoyed that Obama has yet to deliver on his end of an informal bargain, reached as part of their truce, that each would raise $500,000 for the other. "Hillary has done her part in that regard," says an adviser. "Obama has not." .

What exactly did she do as her part of the bargain? Keep her mouth shut instead of openly undercutting him?

24. Do you believe everything the corporate media writes about Obama? Because months ago I read an
article which attributed Michelle Obama as saying that she'd like to scratch Bill Clinton's eyes out. Should I believe that story?

20. Obama's in Hawaii until the middle of next week.
Then he and McCain are both appearing at Rick Warren's church on Saturday, August 16. He's not going to announce on a Sunday. So I would say Monday, August 18, is the earliest possible date. Though more likely he'll wait until around Wednesday, August 20, when most of the high-profile Olympic events will be over.
