Dean adds to Arizona campaign staff
Democratic presidential front runner Howard Dean has added five paid campaign staffers to his Arizona efforts.

Dean's Arizona campaign has hired four regional field coordinators to organize efforts in the Valley and throughout the state for the Feb. 3 Democratic primary. State Democratic Party political director Alexis Tameron is also taking a job with the former Vermont governor as assistant Arizona campaign director.

Dean was the first to run TV ads in Phoenix and has sent out direct mail to likely voters throughout the state. He made several appearances in Arizona and is expected back in the state this month.

Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry and Dean have the most paid campaign staff on the ground in Phoenix and Tucson. However, Kerry has moved some resources and staff from Arizona to Iowa and has not visited the Valley with the frequency of other candidates, such as Dean, former NATO supreme commander Wesley Clark and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman.

1. That can't be a good sign for Dean supporters
Must be doing poorly there.

Well, you know, you've got to spend the funds raised in those
two BACK-TO-BACK RECORD-BREAKING FUNDRAISING QUARTERS
somewhere, you know. You can't spend it all on Iowa and NH.

So help me, when Dean wins the election in November, we'll
have folks here explaining to us how this is an obvious
proof-point that Dean is a total and complete failure.

Repeat after me: "Spending your new-found wealth by hiring
more staff to get more votes is a good thing!"

8. What part of "Visibility now becomes votes later"...
What part of "Visibility now becomes votes later" don't
you understand?

And please don't put words in my mouth.

4. Very, very smart move on Dean's part
The winner of the Arizona primary will be our nominee and having campaigned hard in perhaps the most important swing state of the General Election will prove to be very prescient.
