I'm Changing My Name! Who's With Me?
Edited on Thu Aug-07-08 01:36 PM by demdog78
From this day on, I am no longer James Neill.

From this day forth, I am James Obama.

I believe Obama will treat this country as if it was one of his children. Be stern when he has to, be soft when he can, but always always always treat it with love and respect.

He will treat it like family. And so, I proudly consider myself to be part of the Obama family.

So try it out. How does your new "John/Jane" Obama sound?

Type it out. Try it on.

And gimme a..........GOOOOOOO-Bama!!!

*Just wanted to put out a happy thread today. Hope I cheered some of you up!!! And just to be clear... this is a pro-Obama post, because apparantly as seen below, some of you will not get it.

Regardless of age, but that wasn't the point of the thread.

You gonna vote for him? Let's hear it then. GoBamam.

That's it. If you read more into it than that, you read too far.

19. It's freakish, isn't it? Seems to me that if this thread is not their
kind of thing, then they'd just move on. But at this point, I'm hearing Twilight Zone music in the background when I read some of the posts. And then I laugh at those posts, too.

So, it's all good. The OP made me smile and the anti-OPs made me laugh. :)

29. Okay, Okay... a little sappy. I know.
But compared to Bush, who has treated this country like a "red headed step child" (no offens to red-headed step children) don't you think it's about time we had someone who really cared about this country.

I do.

Bad analogy or bad wording perhaps... but still a good point.

No gimme a GoBama dammit!

38. "I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together",
Melissa Hussein Obama is fun to say, and it makes me feel unspecialized- but ready to go. Historical moments are in the making.

I thought human beings expressing an urgent need for peace, and respecting diversity in all cultures as a way of embracing a world of individuals who collectively desire to be equally nurtured and educated- was something more than just a "cult" or passing trend.
I was taught that these have been, and continues to be, a long term goal for the conscientiously aware folks on this planet.

A lone person is not capable of these greater tasks. There are those who are capable of motivating people into action.

Suddenly, seeing genuine reflections of our betterment in another is somehow blindly following hope. Instead, we should be fearful of those who talk about solutions for the people of America, as we have gone without any meaningful change for far too long.

Expectations are high, and so am I. (Well, not literally. I don't need to be told not to get my hopes up. I can check my own.)

GOOOOO-Bama 08!
