Has anyone considered the possibility of reverse coattails in VA?

Does anyone think that perhaps a senate race where an extremely popular democratic ex-governor is running could lend Obama an advantage not quantified in the polls of the state? I think there's definitely the possibility of this, but I'm not entirely sure.

...I hope for a bonus that the candidate's get-out-the-vote effort will help Obama.

2. va-i live there
i live in the most conservative part near lynchburg, most of the people i meet are really unhappy with the status quo. there are a lot of stupid people here---but some are wiser than others. when i talk to the stupid ones i think we don't stand a chance. but then a wise one will inspire me. i've talked to a few that have worried that barack would be hurt, but you can't live in fear & we have to stand together . it's a strange but beautiful state.
