Hannity And Huckabee Falsely Accuse Obama Of Not Making It Clear He Loves America
FOX News put down the “Obama’s a black radical” and “Obama’s a non-Christian” attacks in favor of one of their old chestnuts: Barack Obama hates America. It’s laughable on the face of it. Why on earth would someone run for president if they didn’t love this country? But as employees of “fair and balanced” FOX News, Sean Hannity and Mike Huckabee ought to have known that their accusations that Obama has not verbalized his love for his country were false. With video.

The segment in question was on last night’s (8/7/08) Hannity & Colmes in which Obama allegedly frightened a young questioner with a faltering explanation as to why he’s running for president. The explanation included an assessment that the country has gone off track. It’s a sentiment that the majority of Americans share. But that didn’t stop Sean “Great American” Hannity and Republican Mike Huckabee from subliminally accusing Obama of hating America.

Huckabee called the interchange a “very, very serious tactical error” on Obama’s part. Huckabee and Hannity agreed that it showed that Obama can’t speak without a script. My own opinion is that it shows Obama as thoughtful, rather than glib. Regardless, nobody beats George W. Bush for faltering speech. But somehow I don’t ever recall seeing anything about that on FOX News.

Huckabee went on to say that Obama gave the impression that “America is not that great a country right now...Obama needs to tell us what’s great about America.”

2. this is really a big, fat, softball that Obama should easily turn to his advantage,
while calling on McC to have his surrogates STOP impugning his love of the vaterland

he should make a great patriotic speech, along the lines of his religious message of awhile back; it's what he does best, and people are starting to pay attention.

he should call them out by name, and there are plenty of other names to shine the light of reason upon jingoistic fearmongers, starting with them.

name names, Obama.

this can work for you quite effectively....it's a GIFT

they've gone too far, once again, and it NEEDS to be used against them

3. Obama said the phrase "I love America" in his Berlin speech.
It was quite prominent in his speech and shown in clips (at least on CNN).
