Add me to the list of people who want Hillary as VP!!
Stops all of the PUMA crap.

Makes a lot of Women happy.

The GOP will run the Hillary Ads with or without her. But with her she can be on the campaign trail ripping McCain a new one.

Makes Bill Clinton a asset instead of a liability.

She is tough.

I did not like her in the primaries but think we need her now.

And try to keep the response on topic and intelligent and not just cuss words.

1. Ever visit Hillaryis44?
Most of what I read over there was that they don't care if she's picked for Veep. They'll vote for McCain unless hse's at the top of the ticket.

and speaks on their behalf. :eyes:

6. A handful of nuts do not define a politician's base.
Just look at DU. If this was actually representative of Obama...

19. No, but it's only a handful that are the PUMAs
and that's their mindset, which goes to the fact that PUMAs weren't going to vote Democratic to begin with.

5. The Clinton divisiveness will never end until they are on top again.
Don't fool yourself. We are in for a rough ride at the convention. Forget rethugs voting Dem if Hill/Bill comes to the floor and makes the scene that is predicted. It seems that Bill can endorse any Dem but Obama for Pres. Go figure.

7. "makes a lot of women happy" ?!
Also pisses a lot of women off. I'm sick to death of this sexist vote vagina tripe.

And frankly... *this* woman would probably have to give up canvassing for Obama. I simply cant imagine being effective at selling anybody on that ticket. Furthermore, I'm looking forward to a ballot that doesnt say Clinton or Bush. For ONCE.

9. BUT since polls show that the majority of registered democrats prefer that ticket
it would probably make far MORE women happy than it pisses off.

11. And how does it poll with Obama supporters?
Not so well. Considering that we are the ones who've been busting our asses, the ones that got Obama where he is, I should think he'd consider that.

16. So what you are saying is
that your dislike of Hillary would make you stop campaigning for Obama....How very mature of you.

18. Its not about maturity.
Edited on Fri Aug-08-08 11:53 AM by bunnies
Its about my unwillingness to be fake. I'm not going to go around pretending I think she'd help him in any way. I wouldnt go around selling dirt flavored ice cream either. "no really... its delicious" :eyes:

If being a fake and a liar = maturity in your opinion, then I certainly dont want any part of it.

20. So actually it 's
all about YOU! Because you don't like Hillary Clinton, and you don't trust the candidate enough to know what is the right thing to do, he should do exactly what YOU want him to, or you won't campaign for him. Like I said...How mature.

21. Stop twisting my words. Its irritating.
I'll break it down really simply for you. I will never be a good surrogate for Hillary Clinton as Obamas VP. My honesty would NOT help Obama in that circumstance. So yes, if avoiding doing something that could hurt Obama makes it all about ME... sobeit. Interesting logic youve got there.

8. Bill Clinton will never be an asset, if...
what we've seen during this campaign is any indication of what he'd be like as the Vice-Presidential Spouse.

Can't imagine any President wanting that kind of kvetching going on so close behind his back-- second-guessed and double-teamed on every issue by one person who has had the job and another whom they believe should have the job.

12. It wouldn't stop the PUMA crap
They might have to make up a new excuse, but the PUMA agenda stopped being about Hillary the day Hillary herself endorsed Obama. If Hillary herself says she is no longer a candidate, then how could those who claim she is, be considered her representatives?

14. Unfortunately....
your reasonable request "And try to keep the response on topic and intelligent and not just cuss words." will probably go unheeded. You wouldn't stop breathing simply because someone politely asks you to, and for the Clinton hate, these are the only words that fully express their feelings. Pretending that if the roles were reversed, we would see all of Obama's supporters singing cumbayah in support of Clinton is the delusion they require in order to justify their self-percieved, above it all mindset. It's proven on a daily basis if any care to read, and comprehend.
Having said that, I do have confidence that Obama will weigh all options, and make the choice that he feels will compliment, aid his campaign, and be a great asset to his presidency, whether it is HRC, or someone else. As far as my continuing defense of the Clintons, it will continue as long as the illogical hatred expressed for Democratic senator Hillary Clinton persists. If that stops, I'll stop. The ball is not in the Clinton supporter's court. although there are those who interpret defense of the Clintons as a personal attack on them or Obama, This is probably the first "unity" thread I have encountered that does not make unity dependent upon accepting that the rift among democrats is the fault of the Clinton's alone. As long as this unity dependent upon one party or the other accepting blame, it will not happen. Better for both if the differences are locked away in a cabinet, and not opened until the goal of reclaiming America is met. If those rotten bastards that belong to the gop can do it, it shouldn't take that much of an effort on our part. Are democrats smarter than repugs? Yes. Are democrats more logical than repugs? Yes. Does the Democratic Party exist for the good of all, and not a select few? Yes. At least hat's what our children and grandchildren will grow up to believe, if we don't let them down. Of course, there are those who will interpret my words as what I have previously described, a peronal attack on them, and/or Obama, but logic, and one's own eyes will confirm that is not the case. Thanks.
