8. I'm an idiot
I clicked "yes" when I meant to click "no". I was on the thread about Elizabeth speaking at the convention so that's who I was thinking about when I voted in this poll. You know you don't pay attention when you confirm your own mistake!

11. No
He's a private citizen now. I don't see that he has the creds at the moment. Now, Elizabeth...I'd LOVE to see her speak. I know, it's a double standard. Do I care? Nah.

12. Absolutely not.
Now that being said, I wish them well. The chips their family have been dealt have been harsh... No amount of money can make up for some of the tragedies they have experienced.

13. I seriously doubt he would want to speak at the Convention
He certainly has been scratched off the list if he was going to.

15. I don't think there is any need.
He is no longer a sitting member of any form of government (i.e. Senator, Governor, House member). I don't know what he would bring to the convention that others can't. I don't know if they're would be a need for him to speak even if this scandal didn't break.

16. No --
Not because having an affair should be an automatic disqualified (Bill Clinton!), but because it would be a magnet for the news organizations.

"Former Senator John Edwards spoke at the Democratic Convention in December. Edwards, who recently had to admit to an extramarital affair which may or may not have resulted in the birth of a child...."

No - the story is Obama and our road to the WH. This would distract from the bigger, more important picture.

There is no reason for anybody to defend this guy's actions.
