1. Wasn't Condi's claim to fame supposed to be her Russian
expertise?

either she's ineffective at peacemaking or effective at warmongering. Hmmm...

Edit to clarify she was in Georgia. Maybe just checking on our training of troops there or shoring up their support in Iraq.

For whatever reason, I vividly remember, as a college student, reading some comment in a national paper that "Bush administration Soviet expert" Condi Rice had made, which even I, a student taking Russian 2 or whatever, could see was at best ill-informed and at worst dead wrong. (She was, in fact, dead wrong.)

Naturally, since she's a black female, and only because she's a black female, she's now the least-qualified and least intelligent Secretary of State in history.

My favorite Condi nugget is how at every turn, including wordsmithing her White House bio, she actively encourages the misconception that she attended Stanford.

8. She Attended

. . . the University of Denver for undergrad, and got a PoliSci degree at Notre Dame. And don't get me wrong - - I'm not trying to be a degree snob; I judge people in this context on their intellectual merits, not on where they went to school. However, it is amusing that she really does want everyone to think that she went to Stanford. She's just, at heart, a liar. And a dumb one.

As for how she got the Stanford job, since that appointment came after she served in the Actual George Bush's administration, I don't doubt there was some political backscratching involved.

4. His knowledge and experience would be very useful for Obama....
Now if only he could pull off JUST ONE good teevee appearance! (That's why he's only #2 on my list)

9. was that on This Week? wouldn't play for me. I saw a few minutes of that today, and he was AWFUL
really bad....wouldn't answer specific questions, and rambled incoherently. I was appalled, and disappointed. seriously. he may have been OK on Russia--I didn't see that part, put he was embarrassing in the segment I saw...I literally cringed.

he reminded me of the typical repug when they couldn't answer a question put to them.
sorry, but if you think I'm wrong about him, you need to get a tape of the whole interview

anybody else see it?
