A warning about "Securing America's Future" night. . .it could be a misdirect. . .
. . .I hope not, but I can't imagine that the Obama camp would telegraph their VP choice like that. As evidenced by my sig I want the Obama/Clark ticket but I'm not convinced he recovered from the whole "Face the Nation" incident
2. I will be very very surprised if Barack picks Wes.
After his comments about McCain's military service a few weeks back, Wes has been pretty much persona non grata. Even Kerry dissed him. Fair or not, those comments likely nailed the door shut on any VP possibility for Wes.
4. He made a statement which was grossly misrepresented and spun.
(About being shot down doesn't automatically qualify one to be President.) Unfortunately, it appears as though Obama distanced himself from Clark as a result of the OUTRAGE. :eyes:
Getting shot down does not qualify anyone for being POTUS. He has to be more careful how he says it but that approach can work because ultimately it's completely true.
13. I agree with that, too. He's a really good campaigner. And he
doesn't back down because he knows he is right.
Over the last few years he has gotten better and better when he's on cable news shows. He's always prepared. It seems like he has thought out what might be talked about beforehand and he's able to give clear, concise answers. That's way more than we can say for a lot of dems on those shows.
Another thing is that he's older than Obama and he has kept himself in top shape. He's prepared mentally and physically to do what has to be done over the next few months. And he's prepared mentally and physically to run the country should that ever be necessary (God forbid).
And they look absolutely fabulous together. Can't pretend that looks don't matter in this society we live in, because they do.
