So much for John McCain’s “honor.”

From the website of the United States Naval Academy:
http://www.usna.edu/OfficerDevelopment/honor/honorconcept.html

Honor Concept

“Midshipmen are persons of integrity: They stand for that which is right.

They tell the truth and ensure that the full truth is known. They do not lie.

They embrace fairness in all actions. They ensure that work submitted as their own is their own, and that assistance received from any source is authorized and properly documented. They do not cheat.

They respect the property of others and ensure that others are able to benefit from the use of their own property. They do not steal.”

2. Not Really
Especially when you consider his constant claims to have both honor and integrity.

4. Disagree. Doesn't he have a savvier foreign policy adviser than that?
If he doesn't, then I'm more scared of a McCrepit presidency than I was 5 minutes ago--and I was pretty scared about it already--y'know, that whole "Bomb Iran," in Iraq for 100 years thing, etc.

6. I swiped what Wikipedia has to say on the topic
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Naval_Academy

"Moral education

Moral and ethical development is fundamental to all aspects of the Naval Academy. From Plebe Summer through graduation, the Officer Development Program, a four-year integrated program, focuses on integrity, honor, and mutual respect based on the moral values of respect for human dignity, respect for honesty and respect for the property of others. One of the goals of the program is to develop midshipmen to possess a sense of their own moral beliefs and the ability to express them. Honor is emphasized through the Honor Concept of the Brigade of Midshipmen. Brigade Honor Committees composed of upper-class midshipmen are responsible for the education and training of the Honor Concept, midshipmen found in violation of the Honor Concept by their peers can be separated from the Naval Academy.<40>"

Except I gave credit.

But I really don't care that he neglected to cite the source. I care that the world's biggest expert on foreign and military policy has to go to wikipedia like a college freshman the night before a term paper is due.
